I’ve been looking around for a good definition of web 2.0. I don’t see any simple answer that encompasses all that it is. However, I did come across this article at O’Reilly which is arguably the best, most comprehensive discourse on the topic — if for no other reason than that these are the guys that coined the phrase. Here’s my stab at a definition: Web 2.0 is essentially about internet capabilities that have become commonly used since the dot com bust, and which shape a new way of looking at the internet. Essentially, it’s about the ability of all users to participate and contribute to your web content or service. It’s about interactivity; it’s dynamic and ever changing content, not static.
